Progress = Happiness

A woman in Hollywood is happy that her new pool has a waterfall in it.

I’m happy that the chlorine is finally flushing out of the well in the house I’m staying at and I’ll be able to drink it soon.

A woman in Africa is happy it rained because the mud puddle she gets her water from has clear water in it today.

What makes people happy is not what level they are at, but progress.

People are happy when they are making progress.

Transform your inner critic

There is a voice inside you telling you that you aren’t worthy, able, deserving, and “enough”.

Do you hear it?  Recognize it, and tell yourself – “This is not me”.  It’s just a story.

Transform your inner critic into an inner coach.  Tell yourself “I can, I will, I am able, I’m enough, and I deserve.”  It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe it at first.  

Create a new positive voice, and put it on replay.

Replay.  Replay. Replay.

"Thinking Music"

I educated myself on audiobooks, so I don’t listen to the radio a lot.  However, I love music.  When I am working I listen to music that doesn’t distract me, but inspires me and brings out my creativity.

I was playing “Coastal Brake” by Tycho, and my daughter Autumn said “This is thinking music”.   “Yes!”
