If you listen to your body, you get in trouble
Eating, working out, desires, addictions... To live a high-performance life in all areas, we can't let our bodies tell us what to do. Our higher minds must run the show. Right?
Bold Introvert
We have confused boldness with being an extrovert. But you can be a bold introvert. I can tell you I am an introvert. Because you are an introvert, it doesn't mean you have to be weak, submissive, keep your ideas to yourself, or let others take the lead all the…
You're here
If you were trying to get to Atlanta and didn't realize you were already there, you'd keep walking and searching. Be it now.
Dog eat dog world
We've been told it's a dog eat dog world. But dogs don't eat other dogs. They work together in packs in cooperation. Human beings work great in packs too. We need each other to survive and thrive. In our families, in our communities, in our companies, in the marketplace, and…
You need more kindness – from you.
90% of the unkindness in the world is people being unkind to themselves. If you want to make the world better, start being kinder to yourself. Health, eating and sleep.... Self-esteem and self-talk... What you believe about yourself.... Can you be nicer to you?
Hero worship
It's ok to have heroes. It makes you spend time trying to be like them. Look up to those you admire, respect and where you see qualities you want to develop. Those "heroes" are simply people who are modeling behavior and lives we want to emulate. The more we can learn…
Our grievances hurt us.
Grievance - The baggage of old thoughts and emotions. Holding a grudge is like eating rat poison and expecting the rat to die. You're only hurting yourself. If you don't have time for all the good things in your life, you don't have time for a grudge. Do you need to…
Self-Propulsion
It's up to us to get moving, get out there and make something happen and live a great life. Nobody else really cares if we are less than we can be, do less than we can do, and settle. No matter where you are from or who you are, the…
Blood flow to the body is blood flow to the brain
What is good for your heart is good for your brain. After you get your heart rate up for 20 minutes, you are a better thinker; more alert and sharp. A friend I know is an inner city physical education teacher, and she reports that it is well known in school…
EVE Ratio
What is your Entertainment Versus Education ratio? If you ask high-performance people, you'll find they spend far less time entertaining themselves (TV, Facebook, radio, video games, etc. etc.) than average people, and far more time learning things relevant to their current key goals. What is your EVE ratio? Should you make…

I believe it all works together in a balance.
You are absolutely right! Today I skipped the GYM due to feeling really sore and now I regret it! Feeling Drained physically and mentally! Never again!
I love the concept, but there are physiological realities that we must accept. For the past few years I’ve been running on 4-5 hrs of sleep per night. However, we now know we substantially increase risk of dementia and several other illnesses by doing so. I have had to accept the fact I am no good to my family or my business if I am physically impaired. I’ve managed sleep cycles, experimented with napping, etc… but data indicates it does not matter.
Right….but, there are always distractions we must avoid( like those cupcakes in morning picture 🙂
Larry- your nurse aunt disagrees with you! Probably for the first time. Your body gives you important signals that should be addressed. Very thirsty, frequent trips to the bathroom? Maybe diabetes. Frequent headaches? Check your blood pressure. Radiating pain unrelenting? Maybe a disc. Lumps and strange growths?Cancer? I think your mind and body should work in unison, each respecting the other’s input. Ultimately the mind will figure out it’s time to check out physical symptoms. The trick is to keep all working like a well-oiled machine.
Larry- good message all kinds of way you can look at that at listen to your body. p.s thanks for the shout out you forgot the I in the middle of name lol!
