You may think you know, but maybe you don’t. Take the first step – ask.
“What is the best thing that I could do for the company (in this department)?”
“What is the best thing that anyone could do for the company – the result that would be valued most?”
“What could I do that would make you feel I was the most valuable person in the department?”
Go ahead – ask!
