If you had a choice to be the kind of person that doesn’t know but thinks they do, or the kind of person that knows but thinks they don’t, you’re better off being the latter.
When you think you know, you act on false beliefs and make costly mistakes.
Even when you know, keep asking questions and learning.
Very good comment today Larry! A very wise man once told me, the worst thing you can not know is what you dont know you dont know!
We operate in a world of ambiguity, chance and incomplete information. We need to recognize that we do not have perfect information and plan accordingly. Usually that means planning for contingencies: I think “A” will happen, but I could be wrong and “B” might happen, so what would I do in that scenario? Pretty often “C” happens but at least the planning exercise gives us a head start on handling it.
Complacency is not a good thing for me !
