Don’t join them. The leader in business or at home has to keep a level head and not have moments of weakness where they say things or act poorly and break down relationships. People are emotional, that’s a given. You are too of course, but outwardly you need to be a gyroscope; a source of stabilty and strength for those more emotionally afflicted.

Thank you for your blog. I really enjoy reading the personal and business blogs. This comment hits home right now because my Mom is just getting hospice care. It is very useful to remember this advice.
It only takes one stressful situation and a bad response to topple the respect for the boss. Often it is too hard to regain, especially if it has been put in writing (text, email, social media).
