You can't fix the world

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

If we are emotionally upset by the stupidity of others, their irresponsibility, and behavior that we would never engage in, and try to fix it all, we’ll never be happy – there’s just too much to fix.  And while you’re trying to fix “them”, they are trying to fix you to their standards!  It’s a war that’s never won.

Instead, work on something you can control and will lead to happiness – you.

I’ve tried to fix it for 30 yrs,and listening to you ( and my wife ) I need to fix me:) People,if your reading this get a copy of “The Highest Calling” and the cd ” Masterpiece” it will change your thinking and life!

There is too much… And I always try to remember that someone out there probably thinks I am the one that needs “fixing”.
Good reminder, thank you 🙂

I heard someone say once that “happiness is like rising bubbles — delightful and inevitably fleeting. Joy is the oxygen — ever present”. We can’t always control everything around us so permanent happiness is unattainable. We can however, always have joy.

Larry, you hit the nail right the head! With God’s help we can stay joyful.
