Death on a dusty window sill

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Trying Harder…

A fly on a windowsill exhausts the last of its life trying yet again to hit the glass hard enough to break it and escape.  It doesn’t work, yet it keeps trying; to the end.

Meanwhile, a few feet away there is another window that is open.

“Trying harder” isn’t always the solution; and because it consumes so much of our time, energy and attention, it just may be a big part of our problem.

Thanks for all you do for us and the Network. We are primed for a big 2013, including moving the business to Winston Salem, starting as early as April 1. We will retain a satellite in Boone for the business we do up here and southwest Virginia. See you in the DR.

If you claim that trying harder may not be the solution, then what do you propose I should do to succeed.
