Everyone has a full schedule.
Nobody has the capacity to start doing something, adding something to their routine/days, unless they stop doing something else or do less of something else.
So – the process of getting better is substitution. Stop doing something – or so much of something, and start doing something better.
What will you spend less or no time on from now on and what better activity will you put in its place?
Taking time to reflect and edit your life is essential.
I am eliminating screen time and spending that time outside with my kids or walking.
To this end it’s also a good idea to drop enough stuff so that we create “spare” time in our daily schedule. Something will eat it up almost assuredly but if it doesn’t then you can work on your “would be nice to do” list instead of just your “have to do” list. Or we could actually go home early for a change and spend more time with the family! Opportunities are often lost because we have filled our schedules too full to have any space for “extra” activities. We need to clear up our schedules so we have more flexibility.
