The work and play of the Master

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

When you are in your zone, doing what you were made to do and doing it your way, it doesn’t feel like work when you are working.  It’s fun for you.

The master makes no distinction between work and play.  Outsiders can not tell when he is working and when he is playing.

Here’s what Sir Issac Newton said about himself –

“I do not know what I may appear to the world: but to myself, I seem to have been only like a little boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”

I hope you can find or craft the work you don’t consider work.

There is no better feeling than knowing you are in the right place in your life. Work doesn’t feel like work when you enjoy what you are doing. Life is too short! Thanks for your words!

Good advice for all and especially relevant for the young to consider. The way to make time feel slow and drag by is to be in an occupation that isn’t fulfilling. Perhaps in our youth most of us have experienced this and should have taken action sooner to try other things until we feel joy at work.
