Like most other people, when I started speaking to groups I was quite uncomfortably nervous. Today, it’s very different.
What changed?
I did. I know that if I speak on things I know about, if I am prepared, and if I am there to help others with my message instead of being there to look good, then I have nothing to worry about.
Speaking to rally your team can be a very important part of being a leader. Invest in this skill.
An excellent point. Communication is an underrated element of leadership. And the good news, as you point out, is it can be learned. Speak with confidence and authenticity, and your team will listen.
