Being clear minded

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

“It is a fault to wish to be understood before we have made ourselves clear to ourselves.” – Simone Weil

How can you expect anyone to understand you when you are confused yourself?

If not, you have some learning and thinking to do and decisions to make.

Are you clear to yourself?

Good Morning Larry! This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes. “Seek first to understand, and then to be understood” It also goes along with having two ears, two eyes and only one mouth. We are intended to use them in approximately those proportions.
I sometimes fail in making myself understood because I’m giving instructions from a 10,000-mile-high perspective to an employee who is at ground level. I have to remember to share the pertinent parts of the 10,000-mile vision so that they can fully understand the instructions in order to achieve the intended results.

I’m grateful for you too Larry! 🙂
