We’ve all done it.  Succumbed to our urge to talk down about someone else for whatever reason.

They deserved it?  Maybe.

But getting down in the dirt is never a good idea – for you.

Especially if you are a leader of others.

When you get mad and want to express it, walk away, get off the internet, and go to bed.

I had a manager that once said if you are ticked off about something, write the e-mail, save it to your drafts, and come back to it in 1-2 days. Chances are you won’t send the e-mail after re-reading it and have had a chance to calm down.
