"Sympathy for all would be tyranny for thee"

“Sympathy for all would be tyranny for thee.” – Freidrich Nietche

Generosity and kindness and being helpful are all traits of a good person – I am sure everyone would agree.

But if you try to solve everyone’s problems you’ll exhaust yourself, your resources, and still not achieve your goal.  You may wind up the one needing some kind of help – and that is not helpful.

Do what you can gladly, but know when you need to take care of yourself and stay strong, so you can help again tomorrow.

Jim Patton

Taking care of ourselves is so important, and often times those who are focused on the health and welfare of others, forget to do the same for themselves.
Thank you for this reminder!
