Last Friday my parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. I am so thankful that I had the model of their relationship to help me learn how to treat my spouse.

What better template than being role models for your children. My Mom just passed away last week at 90, working on their 70th year of marriage. I was blessed with parents that set an exemplary standard of a great marriage. My beautiful wife and I have done our best to lead our children to the same commitments. All with the strength of God. Thank you Larry for showcasing the legacy of strong family values

Larry, you hit on something so very important. Our children set their standards by the way they see us behave. If we want them to do better then we must do better.

This is so true! Although our children may push back on our thoughts and values growing up especially during their teen years is it amazing how they tend to follow our example when they reach adulthood. The next generation could dramatically reduce the cases of spousal violence if we set the right example.
