“Ok so here’s the deal Lar. You are 56. You’ll never be 56 again. Next year you will be older. 57.
Nothing is guaranteed. You have your health and faculties and ambition. Use it now.
What do you want to do before you are done? What are you waiting for? Will 57 or 62 or 66 be a better time than now? No. 56 is the best time. So, get to it. Schedule it on the calendar. Cool right? Get ready…Can’t wait!”
I have to remind myself with this conversation…and you do too.
Super cool to see you on an efoil! If you ever make it out to central TX, I’ll gladly take you on some tours of the local waterways. Super fun stuff!
56 here too Larry! Enjoying it now before itโs too late
“Today I am grateful for Jeff Russell!”
Me too!!! Great thought today – the present is a gift!
Thank you Larry, I’m grateful for you too! Todays topic weighs in on my mind a lot, especially lately. However, all I have to do is prove it to myself all over again and I’m good for awhile longer. ๐ I received a great compliment last week when one of my production team members told me I was a “tough old man”. Didn’t offend me at all, actually I felt great about it!! Have a great day everyone.
“No time like the present!”
Thank you for the gentle reminder!!
Very timely
“Today is a Great Day to be a Great Day”
So true, life goes by faster the older we get, I am 56 too Larry and I am trying to decide what to do next as my hobbies have been similar to yours as having raced mx since teenager and college days along with all the vet age classes of plus 30, 40 and 50. Going to get back into BJJ once covid is over, just another goal like my shodan in shotokan, love exciting sports like yourself, but I don’t want to change my hobbies yet as most of my friends think I should because of my age.
