Don't forget to live

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

There’s been a lot of fear put out there in recent times.

“By fearing death, we forget to live.”

Don’t forget.

There sure has been. And we know where it comes from, and who’s behind it.
Scripture is pretty clear on this subject.
1John 4:1-12 says:
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.

And 1 John 4:18-19 THERE IS NO FEAR IN LOVE BUT PERFECT
LOVE DRIVES OUT ALL FEAR. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.

God, the author of love, He who IS love, was removed from our schools in the late 60’s and early 70’s, and so there are generations that do not know God, our loving Father in heaven, or His love for us, His children.

All those so easily manipulated by fear … do not know the one who casts out all fear. They have not built their lives on His eternal truth, but on the lies of this fallen, broken world.

In the end, it’s all a God thing. It always is.
