“You can’t simply see, you must observe” – Tom Matthews
Seeing is one thing. Hearing the words is easy. Hearing what is not said, or where it’s coming from, and observing what people are really doing and how they feel is another.
It’s what Attila meant when he said “know the temperament of your camp”. (The is a fantastic and old audio program called “Leadership Secrets of Attila the Hun”. If you can find a copy you are lucky!)
Making the right call takes a second. Knowing what call to make takes lots of time.
Are you a good observer?
Found that copy on Audible. On my list!

Tom’s a smart man! Wow! That’s so “to the point”. Thanks Josh for the link!
“you can observe a lot by watching” Yogi Berra
Thank you for exaggerating the scarcity of the Attila”s Leadership Secrets. The content and audio is everywhere. The statement of scarcity caused instant action on my part.
Be well, Larry!

I believe it takes practice to become an “Active Listener”. Active listening allows for a deeper view of your camp.
I found it, Larry, on Audible!
I’m glad I came out on the right side of a comparison with Attila!
