If you spent a few minutes and think about yesterday, how much of the day were you responding to someone else’s agenda, and how much of it did you use to advance your own goals?

I love this, I think often about how my day went yesterday. I realize quite to often that the majority of yesterday did not belong to me. I look back at the day only to see what I can do different today or tomorrow. Otherwise, I don’t look back. Now I block myself out for “goal time”. This was hard for me to do as I didn’t want my team to think I was inaccessible. They’ve since learned that by taking this time for my goals I’m actually more efficient for their needs as well.
