Recently I walked up to my house, and I was equidistant between two doors. I wanted to go to the door on the right. My eyes looked at the door on the left, so I started walking towards the door on the left. Then my eyes moved to the door on the right, and my feet moved that way. Then again, I shifted my eyes to the door on the left, where I preferred not to go. I wound up going to the door on the left; I followed my eyes.
This is a small, seemingly insignificant example of how our body follows our head, and our head follows our eyes. This is why it is so important to focus on what you want and not on what you don’t want.
We need to think about what we want more, even though what we don’t want (our current situation) is all around us.
What we don’t want maybe more present physically, but we need to make what we DO want more present in our head. We need to build a great passion in our mind and construct the unseen, so we go in that direction with our actions and our feet.
MORE TOMORROW…
Larry – same is true when riding a horse – whichever way the rider looks, the horse goes. Look backwards and you are in for an adventure!
The eyes are the windows to our soul. Follow me. Leaders have followers. We look up to leaders they are our role models. We want and need them to help us grow in our development of talents and skills.
Larry you are spot on, I do magic professionally, and it’s the same principle. People will look where I look. So when I want to fool people I look at what I WANT them to look at, not at what I DON’T want them to look at. You’re right about the head directing the body and feet, and the eyes directing the head.
Love this!
