The true measure of success is when you can take from life and give back at the same time!
Not sure where that quote came from but it has stuck with me for a very long time.

Signs of my success include:
1. My four sons staying motivated, continuing their career growth and finding happiness and love in their worlds.
2. My investment portfolio provides for consistent stream of interest and dividend income to meet 50% of my annual post full-time working income goal.
3. I, more consistently, live in the moment with my wife and family while enjoying time away from work.
4. My company successfully implements training programs and develops team members to provide high quality perpetuation for our older sales and support members.
4. I manage my health and fitness to avoid hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol.

One of my favorite movies is” it’s a wonderful life”. I think if the world is a better place because I was here that is one distinct measure. Part of that is seeing my children and grandchildren grow and thrive. Another part of seeing my staff grow and thrive and also the impact that my business has on the customers we serve.

I have been told, even by difficult employees, that I am a good leader. I love mentoring ones who are driven to gain knowledge and be successful themselves. It’s a feel-good thing.

Success to me should be measured not by the thickness of one’s wallet. But by the amount of people I helped better themselves along the way.

Success to me is fulfilling my potential. Always going to be striving for more to reach that. Also, success is having freedom to spend quality time with the people I care about and having fun doing a lot of various hobbies.

To me, Success is a combination of freedom to live a balanced life. Working to maintain financial security while enjoying family, friends, and taking the opportunity to help others live happy and balanced lives.

If a dollar amount determined success I would feel good having come from nothing and having so much but I think the relationships I have today in my life are the true measure of success.

I believe a person would know they are successful, if there is someone else to celebrate something with. (family or close friend, or both) Someone who can see your success without having to be prompted to, by boasting or nudging.
Personally, more time would make me feel more successful. Being able to accomplish something or many things and still have time left over for other pursuits, is one of the greatest treasures I can think of.

Reflecting and understanding who I was created to be.
Taking steps to move in that direction and celebrating the progress made towards that.
Helping lead my family and friends to do the same.
Helping my company help our customers meet their goals.
For me I like Earl Nightingales definition that Success is the progressive realization of a worthwhile goal. Leads me to the verbs in my definition. Also firmly believe that success lies at the intersection of preparation and opportunity. I do my best to continually improve my level of preparedness so that I can find success in more and more opportunities. Not for me, so much, as in the ability to being able to help others.

Success is facing Jesus Christ and hearing “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Everything else might be filling landfills in artful ways (poop-smithing is not an actual trade).

I think success is not just monitory success. I think a successful person, Loves what they do every day and has a family that they love and the family loves them too. If someone is truly happy in their life with all that…they are successful

Success to me is setting and hitting goals. Then moving on to the next set. I recently reached the summit of the career mountain I’ve been climbing for 25 years. Now that I’m here I have a bird’s eye view of what the next 20+ will look like. Success = freedom.
