Childhood is a short season

“Childhood is a short season” – Helen Hayes

It went by so quickly – didn’t it?  What about your twenties?  Same there.

Thirties?  Forties?  Like a flash, right?  Fifties – yup, gone in no time…

How many days and years and decades will pass until you do that thing you’ve always wanted to do?

How about now?

. A dear friend of mine has a saying that he shares frequently it is “dream better dreams” The theme this morning is so true and compels us to seek and pursue our purpose.

My perspective is of one who is a Christian. I have come to understand that God’s “Intelligent Design” process of creation includes each of us. Pursue your dreams, seek God’s purpose and live this phase of life’s existence preparing for the next.

Time has proven: it shall come.

I haven’t owned a dirt bike in 40 years but they still hold a place in my heart. It might be time. Thank you. Hope you had a nice Easter.

I feel like the older I get the faster time goes by…..Great message today Larry!

There’s no time like the present – truer with each passing day!

Enjoy each decade and what it has to offer. My favorite was the 50’s. By this time you are pretty good at what you do, have gained a good bit of wisdom, and can mentor others. Physically- you still “have it”, and can have an active lifestyle. Financially, you should be on a path to a good retirement, and able to travel and enjoy some of life’s indulgences. Children are now grown and you may know the joy of grandchildren. But don’t put off doing things. If you always wanted to see Paris, DO IT ! My husband and I are now in our 80’s, and we treasure the memories we have traveling together.

I think about this all the time. I just told my best childhood friend that those gone by years seems like another lifetime ago.
