Nuclear war. We were all worried about it when I was growing up. Ronald Reagan avoided it and saved tens of millions of lives. Sound overly dramatic? That’s because it didn’t happen and it’s hard to appreciate.
That bad car accident you weren’t in last week? Your child not being born with cerebral palsy? The recession we are not in? The socialism our country has not fallen into? Your home that didn’t burn down last week? The people you love that didn’t die in the night.
It’s easy to take things for granted. But keep working to avoid disaster, and be grateful the worst didn’t happen.
Well said and such a truism for our lives.
Thank you!
Always good to practice gratitude! Life is so fragile.
Reading this makes me so much more thankful!
Thanks Larry for a different perspective.
