Parasite or Producer?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Did the title of this one get your attention?  I may be about to touch the electric fence here….

A Producer takes responsibility for their own life.  The take the situation as they find it and seek ways to make it better and add value.  A producer does not wait for permission or their turn.  They act, accept the consequences and keep working to make them better. They make things happen. When nobody is watching, they are in active pursuit of a better tomorrow.  A producer leaves value for others in their wake.

A Parasite complains and makes excuses while relying on others for their existence.  A parasite is at the mercy of others because they do not take full responsibility.  They petition others for favorable treatment, often under the guise of being “fair”.  They watch things happen and like to pass judgment and talk about others.  When nobody is watching, they are taking it easy.

The Producers are the minority, and live lives of adventure.

Which are you?

Ha! Got my attention:)

This thought is very similar to what I just finished reading/listening to in “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand, and while I can’t agree with her on everything….. I know I would like to be more of a producer in everything I do!

Thanks Larry!

Hi Larry,
Totally agree with the producer definition. Although parasite is a pretty strong word but I get what you’re saying. I bumped into Stephanie. Good luck with the roofing dealership start up. Great idea.

Don’t just touch the fence. Grab on to it. The stimulation is awesome. And so few people experience it. Pity.
Produce on. Thanks Larry.

Jack

You said that out loud? That took guts.

Timothy Garrett

I am a producer! I have been surrounded by parasites my whole life, they have drained me emotionally and financially. I am now parasite free! I have printed out this blog and will use it at our morning meeting today, where we are now parasite free.
Thank you.

Michael Carrafa III

What a valuable message! This is useful in business and your personal life!

Production

Too true! I just want to help more of my people become producers as well

Therese Kennett

I am striving for a better tomorrow and working on myself because I am a producer and know that their are parasites that will always try to take away your fire. I don’t care if anyone is watching, I know what I want and I will strive to get it!!

David Hoh

If you happen to watch the news lately it’s clear to see both “producers and parasites” on every issue currently being discussed. The contrast couldn’t be more clear. Only one of the two ways of thinking will help make change. I choose to be productive.

Well said! Love it!

Thank You! – I wish everyone could read that today – Think I will post that in
my next help wanted add

Really like this post. I’m a producer, but not a pro one yet. Working on the permission part …

Dave Drescher

Agree 100%. Character has been similarly defined as “How you behave when others aren’t watching”.

Scott McIntosh

Bad Ass!
Thank you

Sheila Marr

Strive to always be adding to, improving and accomplishing something weather in the business or personal. Have a difficult time just relaxing. It gives me joy. It is a mystery to me how people can be happy not doing so. But maybe that’s why so many people are not happy.

Mark McBride

Outstanding !!!!!!

Tom Fricker

Probably ONLY producers here, I don’t think ANY parasites are reading this blog
