Gas, Brake, Gas, Brake…

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

While our long-term goals may be fairly constant, “What is most important right now” in pursuit of that goal changes often.

A leader or manager needs to step back and assess the current situation clearly and discern what needs to be done now.

Toggling from offense to defense, from gas to brake, from break something to fix something, and from make a mess to clean it up is how we will get over the mountain. Knowing when to shift and where is a leader’s job.
