In 2009 I began writing Think Daily each weekday to stay connected with people I know, and try to share something of value with the world, with no expectation of anything in return. I remember after 30 days I said to a few friends that I was nearly out of things to write about! After several months I found a voice in it and found a rhythm.
I started Think Daily for Businesspeople about four months later. Now I was committed to writing two messages a day – a tall order. I spend about three hours a week writing, mostly on weekends, if you don’t count all the time I spend learning myself.
Trying to find all these things to say that are mostly true to most people isn’t easy. The accuracy or value of “advice” always depends on what you are trying to do. Since I am speaking to 30,000 people at once now, people who are at all different stages of their lives with a wide variety of interests and goals, I have to be careful my message makes sense to most if not all.
I am glad I started. That’s how we grow – we just get started even if we don’t really know how it will turn out. By doing, we learn how to do. Not everything we do will work out, and even from failure, we learn something. Not everything I have done has worked out. I have had my heart broken, been embarrassed, made terrible mistakes that I regret, and developed unrealistic expectations that stung when I discovered the error. It’s all part of the human experience, and I have tried to use these experiences as a backdrop for moving forward despite being slapped around by the realities of learning.
Think Daily has worked out. It has made me a better person, and, judging by the feedback I get, has encouraged or inspired many others as well. I am propped up and even thrilled to read sincere comments and stories of readers who look forward to seeing what I am talking about each morning. (Please comment with the orange button!) The highest compliment I get is when you refer someone else to thinkdaily.com.
Let’s make a deal. You don’t quit, and I won’t either. I’ll be there for you, and you be there for me.
Deal?
Great stuff to read daily.
Thanks

D-E-A-L!
Hi Larry,
I truly enjoy your inspirational and thought-provoking Think Daily messages. Congrats on 30,000 followers! I wish I had that many on my blog and newsletter.
Have a great day!
Patti
We the readers, are thankful that you take the time to do this. Your words are worth reading and one of the few that I personally take the time to read each day. It is obvious that you put a lot of thought into this and that you are true to your own advice of Try, Notice, Adjust and Try Again. They have always been good, and continue to get even better
Thank you, I look forward to your emails every morning.
Larry- I read these everyday and find value in them. Some are great course corrections, some are validating what I have learned, and some are heartwarming. It always puts a thought in my head – sometimes I can take action, sometimes it takes 10x before I can latch on to the thought.
I do appreciate you planting where you will not know the fruits that are born from it. We call it “planting good seeds”. Doing good without a “return” is what we should all do as people. No act of kindness or an uplifting word is wasted.
I do know we all have to bring “value” to customers in a business setting to maintain the business. When business people say one thing and don’t back it up with action, we lose. There are no excuses that hold water. There are reasons – some good and some not so good. In the end, no value, no commerce.
We have to bring value to friends and family as well. All of us are “on-stage” and we are being evaluated. Right or wrong, perception is all there is. Making “creating value” a habit a key to life. I am not perfect and never will be. I do strive to make the best of all situations.
The little acts of kindness to those who are taken for granted such as the cleaning crews at McDonalds, waiters and waitresses, the crews and admin in your own company, should be thanked by name. Everyone loves to hear someone call their name.
Time is of the essence. Make each day count.
Thanks for your writings!
Danny

For the first few years, I literally woke up daily to your message -2 hour time difference made it 4am here when my phone message dinged! It is still the first thing I read daily all these years later. Thanks Larry for all your time, effort and wisdom.
Keep up the good work. I love reading it day and sometimes I love you message so much that I pass it on to others. Thank you so much!

Love reading your messages! It doesn’t always happen in the morning but I️ should make it part of my Miracle Morning. Keep going strong!
Well done, Larry!
Thank you for your effort, thoughtfulness, generosity and perseverance. Of course not everything applies to everything and everyone all the time…but it’s hard to beat a good buffet on the receiving end!
As for screw-ups, we all do it. What matters is how you handle it afterwards. I learned long ago that handling a screw-up well, can earn you more points in the long run than almost anything else you’ll do.

DEAL!
Sounds like a deal to me!
I look forward everyday to your messages. Even when I travel for business or vacation I read them. I rarely have a comment to make, but that doesn’t mean they are any less interesting to me. Please keep them coming!
Thank you, Larry, for your time and effort.
Putting the words out there, whatever they may be, will be interpreted and applied to our individual realities, so you probably don’t need to concern yourself so much with universality. Whether I agree with them, or not, I enjoy reading your messages. They make me think – daily!
DEAL! always great inspirations. I share them with many people often!
Thanks for all your efforts!
I enjoy reading your thoughts each day and in about 99% of the cases, it’s relevant to what I have going on. At the very least it causes me to pause for a moment to see if I can turn your thoughts into action in my business.
So YES, we have a deal. You keep sharing and I will keep learning.
Thank you!
Like others, I look forward to your messages every day. Thank you for taking the time and effort to give back!
Thanks for the daily thoughts, They help me re-adjust my thinking and focus.
I don’t know how you do it, Larry, but thanks!
Pretty amazing.
DEAL! A good acronym for Daily Evaluation Advances Learning. I just made this up, but perhaps you already have one in mind too. Judging from the number of responses you have today, it’s obvious you are making a difference in our daily thinking and learning. I have sent messages along to friends and family members when the message seems to relate specifically to a group. Sending along these thought provoking messages truly is a compliment to the good work you are sharing. What blesses one, blesses all. Thank you!
Yes Deal. I appreciate your time!!
I have never met anyone as disciplined as you Larry. Some people can manage to be disciplined for themselves, but I don’t know anyone who can also be so disciplined about serving others.
Getting your Think Daily is as inspiring and dependable as the SUN coming up in the morning!
Thank you for your commitment, it means a lot not only to me, but to all my employees, who also see a new Think Daily hung up in our office every morning.
Happy birthday Think Daily! Thank you Larry, for your wonderful daily encouragement, motivation and empowerment. I look forward to reading you every day.
I’m all in! You continue to write and I will continue to refer people to your site.
Best always,
Pam Berrios, President.
National Hispanic Landscape Alliance & Owner of Alexandria Landscapes.
Happy Birthday Think Daily! I look forward to reading each day, you are an inspiration and manage to consistently capture messages that apply to many. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 🙂
You got it Larry-I read both messages every day and often share them with my son, who is an entrepreneurship major in college. We met when you were the keynote speaker for the BRBC and one day I hope to get the opportunity to show you around Bridgeport’s Homes for the Brave, the non-profit I run that serves homeless men and women (primarily Veterans).
Deal, your work and extra time is greatly appreciated.
Deal! Many of your comments are very well done, I like how they apply to being a good person in general.
You can count on me being here Larry! I am blessed to lean and experience new things from you daily. Thank you, really, I mean it, thank you for caring and sharing like you do. The world is a better place because of it.
I look forward to reading both Think Daily and Think Daily for Business everyday. I often print out the daily lesson for use as motivation for our company/safety meetings held each Wednesday. Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge with us.
