We have confused boldness with being an extrovert. But you can be a bold introvert. I can tell you I am an introvert.
Because you are an introvert, it doesn’t mean you have to be weak, submissive, keep your ideas to yourself, or let others take the lead all the time. When it’s time to speak, speak. When it’s time to stand up, stand up. When it’s time to reach out, reach out.
It may take a bit more courage than extroverts need, but you got it!
Introverts – you can be bold!
Something I, also an introvert, work on every day when I need to.
As an introvert I can relate to this! I’ve learned to speak up when I need to, but it’s not the easiest.
I always find that introverts are energized by spending time by themselves, and extroverts are energized by being with others. Whatever works for you! During team meetings, to get everyone’s participation, ask everyone to jot down their thoughts about the subject, then go around the room and ask each person to share. Passing is allowed. In this way, you will hear from the introverts as well as the extroverts, and everyone will be heard.
