An experiment was done. They went to thrift stores and bought a bunch of insignificant trinkets for an average of $1.25 each. They hired a bunch of writers to invent a story “that attributed significance” to each object. They listed each object for sale on Ebay with the invented stories, using the price they had paid for each object as the starting price. By the end of the experiment, they had sold $128.74 worth of trinkets for $3,612.51!
Your work does NOT “SPEAK FOR ITSELF.”
People’s assessment of a thing is deeply affected by what you tell them about it.
Tell your story.
Stick with the truth! You will sleep better. Golden rule principal applies.
Thanks for that
My very first boss/mentor was a consummate story teller. It took me years to figure out he was using it as an effective tool for business and life. So thankful to have the good fortune to know him and for the time he invested in me.
That’s your best one so far this year!
