Your focus is largely diven by your beliefs, which determine what questions you ask.
Do you ask “Why do I have these problems?”, “Why can’t I get good people to work for me?”, and “Why don’t these people get it?”
Read those above questions again, and notice where your mind goes.
Or do you ask “What is the solution? – because I want to find it right away”, “How can I get the best to work on our team?” and “How can I engage people better?”
Notice where your mind goes to those questions.
Perceive the difference?
What questions do you ask?
A good read related to this mornings blog is QBQ ( The Question Behind the Question” by John Miller.
Mr. Miller dives into the common first thing we are prone to ask which is Why? and Who? He suggest that we reprogram ourselves to instead thank on personal ownership by thinking and asking How and What? Examples: Instead of ask Why did that happen?….Instead ask How can I fix it?
Instead of focusing on Who did it? Instead ask “What can I do to fix it.”
QBQ by John Miller is a good read.
Is feeling bitter and frustrated mostly with myself normal? I know I am the odd ball and some things are just going against what I learned up until now. Yesterday part of me was glad to be sitting behind a screen because the other part sensed the magnitude of trouble some words and actions create.
