This is a hard lesson to learn for me, but very necessary. I do keep it “top of mind” everyday!

Next week is sales training week, we have lunch and learns set up to introduce the product my employer wants to sell. I sold jewelry and I worked as a credit associate before but I never stood in front of a group of engineers and architects introducing specs. I know I can do it once I get more familiar with the product and I learn how to describe and present its advantages.

I watched other people present for 8 hours and I was amazed at the skill and energy they had. I knew it was not easy and here I am being excited over a 30-60 min presentation. Talking one on one is always different than presenting something I do not really know much about in front of a group. I will observ the first couple of days but I do want to try to do it on my own as well.

I was not hired as a sales person but I offered to help out until the business grows enough to where we can afford to hire a couple full time sales people.
