When we try to break new ground, we are launching into the unknown. There are missing pieces we don’t even know are missing, and we don’t have systems and processes, or the right people and tools to deal with the new world we are trying to bring forward.
While we may have our tidy familiar processes to deal with what’s old, we are going to have to get used to the mess we create when we try to innovate and take steps forward.
We’ll eventually clean it up…until it needs to be blown up again.
Love the mess.
Well…….hiring my second sales person today. Very new for Norway Built, but very much needed to move our company forward. Our first hire was marginal, but making this a high value activity, we believe this new one can make a difference and train the first to be all he can be and make big improvements quick. This is my “Breaking New Ground”.
Sounds a bit like our current conversion to BIZ WIZ. Blow up the old….In with the New & Better & more productive tool
Evidently you were thinking about me when you wrote this! ha
It’s my 2017 resolution. How did you know?
Some of your “thinking music” suggestions are free for Prime members on Amazon Music. Great for those of us who are constructing (reconstructing?) (deconstructing?)!
Love the mess, good advice, I will keep that in mind.
