When you do that, you will not fix it, you will create a new problem that may be worse.
Hire right. Post your opening in lots of places, get lots of resumes, screen them, and then do phone interviews to narrow it down to the ones who are worth you spending your time to interview.
Interview them with a prepared set of questions. Be ready to sell your company, story and vision if they are winners, and give them some homework. If you don’t like who’s left, get more resumes in.
Interview again at a different time of day or over a meal. Interview a third time with your managers present. Get consesus. If you don’t love the candidate, don’t hire them.
The idea is you must get to know who you are really hiring before you hire them. You’re going to live with this decision a long time, and the future of your company depends on it.
Spend the time and hire people right.
