Does it take money to make money?

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

If you have money, it is easier to make money.

But if you have money, then you are the kind of person who knows how to make money, and that’s why you have it.  Now you can make more.

If you don’t have money, it’s harder to make money.

But if you don’t have money it’s because you have not become the kind of person who makes much money yet, and that is the real reason you can’t make money.

You sound like Judge Smails in Caddyshack “how would you like to mow my lawn”?

It’s about making money and also hanging onto it! Some people make plenty of money but then it goes right out the door through bad business decisions, poor spending habits, warranty expenses, etc. Making money is as much about keeping what you make as it is about making it in the first place. You can’t spend everything you make as soon as you make it. You must hang onto some of it and use it to make more money. It’s the principle of delayed gratification. Make money and save money today so that you can enjoy a lot more in the future.
