Technology is no substitute for human communication

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

No software, no CRM, and no computer can substitute for human one-to-one voice communication.

It’s how real relationships are forged.  It’s how sincerity and confidence is transferred from one person to another.  It’s how empathy and real understanding happens.

The human voice is an amazing communication instrument.  There is no substitute.

When things are sticky; when there are misunderstandings; when it’s important not to blow it – slow down and talk to people.

Absolutely agree!

I am always looking for new technology that can help our business but I completely agree that we need to keep the human element involved. People need people and will react to people much better than to a “computer”. Human interaction is what makes life worthwhile. If we were all working from home on our computers life would be pretty meaningless.

That’s right!

Man, how I miss the old pencil and paper days! No social media, no cell phones, all that replaced privacy with transparency!

Amen to personal, in-person communication. It’s the best way to establish genuine connection with others.
