Blaming is Abdication

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

The minute you blame, you abdicate.

So if you blame others for your situation, you are saying they are in control of that part of your life, and you are not.  And if that is true, then you have no power to change it.

Don’t blame.

Take responsibility, and take control.

Thank you for this much needed advice. I hope those who read it (including myself) consider the areas that need to change and do it.

Good morning Larry! Hope your summer is going well. Let’s catch up for dinner or coffee with our better halves one day soon. I share your think daily links with all our interns and employees! And Chris Vizzo is great! Have a good day. Nicole

This is a very important lesson. When you blame you give your power away.

I love todays TD. I have vowed personally to always accept my teams’ failures as my own. I don’t run from issues, I tend to run to them and hit them head on, no matter how they may have been generated. Own it!

Such a perfect message! When we abdicate and blame others for our lack of success or our failures, we are saying that we cannot improve and have reached our peak. We should always be working to improve- no matter how good we perceive that we are!
