Soda, fruit juice, beer, wine, gatorade, iced tea…. it’s all loaded with sugar.
Best to drink water most of the time – don’t you think?

I drink a gallon of lemon water every day. My parents never allowed us to drink soft-drinks and this is way back in the 80’s so I’m not addicted to them like some are. I’ll have one occasionally as a treat, like ice cream, but stay away otherwise. They are actually way worse for us now than 40 years ago because now they have HFC (high-fructose corn syrup) which is even worse for us than white sugar.

As a singer, water is my go to. I drink it constantly. I gave up soda 10 years ago. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever accomplished. I went through withdrawals for a few weeks and even now, I still crave it. Earlier this year, I gave up alcohol. Partly because of a medication I am on but the bigger reason is that I loved an alcoholic for three years and saw how it tore his life apart. It almost destroyed mine as well. I gave up all caffeine, including chocolate, a few months ago as well. The cravings are real but I sleep better, feel better, and my anxiety doesn’t spike as often.
The road is rough sometimes but I don’t regret it. Well, except for chocolate lol I may allow myself to have it once a month but that will be after six months of not having it. Maybe.
