Loved, “Success is the enemy of success.” So true in so many ways.
Kind of goes with a note I just now scribbled on some scratch paper about approaches to problem solving that sometimes mask the (real) problem – sometimes intentionally (smoke screens, deflection, obfuscation) for ulterior or disingenuous motives, and sometimes out of ignorance or lack of diligence.

The thought I scribbled down was, “What we are doing by what we are doing.” Another way to look at it would be as a question, “What are we doing by what we are doing?”
Two different ideas on examining the outcome – intended or otherwise – of our actions. I think in gonna meditate on that a bit today…

Thanks for the prompt, Larry!

This is some of the best advice for anyone at any place in life. We have to continually improve ourselves and teach those who come after to do the same thing. Otherwise we go backwards each generation and I’m afraid those are the consequences we are suffering as a society right now. It’s going to take a couple of hard working generations to put this back to rights.

This reminds me of a saying I tell myself “Kingdoms get conquered when the king continues to wear his silk pajamas”
