Sleeping enough for a good day

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

For most of us, sleeping enough to have a good day means going to bed early five days a week.  You can sleep in on the weekends, but not during the week.

If you wake up and you’re tired, and try to offset this feeling with caffeine and sugar, you are not going to have a good day.

Shut the screens off and go to bed early.

Thank You for this reminder, Larry! I think many of us try to burn our candles this way and, in my experience, it just leads to burn OUT.
Take Care and have a Great Weekend!

One of the hardest and best things I’ve done this year was give up caffeine entirely, including chocolate. I’ll be honest, I was miserable for the first few weeks. But even on the nights where my brain won’t turn off long enough for me to get enough sleep, it’s still more restful than the sleep I’ve had for most of my life. It makes it worth the cravings. Now I’m working on shutting the screens off early and giving myself the permission to slow down.

IT’S FUNNY WHEN PEOPLE WHO GOT WHERE THEY ARE TODAY BY WORKING CRAZY HOURS TELL OTHERS TO SLEEP MORE ; )
