I was once assigned to a multi-discipline response and recovery group to rapidly address some long-standing, systemic issues affecting the larger Team that i worked with.
In that effort, the response group had the opportunity to meet with a performance coach, and I felt that the first thing she said to the group was the most important thing she said the whole time, “You’re perfectly configured to get the results you’re getting.”
I’ve never forgotten that, and have applied both the statement and the thought process behind it to other concerns since then – I typically find it to be both accurate and illuminating when properly applied.
