Part – 5 Leverage

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

This is (never the) last installment of an idea we have been talking about for a week.  All dimensions of the same thing – leverage.

If I am going to do something, I want to do things that will have lasting effects into the future.

If I am serving a customer, it is not leveraged work – there will be more customers tomorrow.

If I am running a sales call, I am not leveraging anything.  There will be more sales calls to run tomorrow.

If am recruiting the right salesperson and training them well – that is some leverage.

If I recruit and train 5 at a time – that is 5X the leverage.

If I am recruiting a recruiter and a sales trainer/manager and they are using sales training I procured or write or had written, that is far more leverage.

So if I can work on a project, the right project, and do it well or have it done well (if it’s not my skill set) and the positive results (less problems, more sales, better quality, competitive advantage, more leads, etc. etc. last far into the future, I am doing leveraged work.

Work once, get paid forever.

I have only worked with Jack Jamison for a brief time, but I can say with confidence that he is a driven leader who is also a pleasure to work with.

I’m grateful for you, Larry! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and being a friend.

You have leveraged sooo much so far as we all benefit from the work you did that still drives our growth each day. Thank you for your service.
