Back in the 80’s when I started in home improvement NOBODY had a training room.
A typical contractor would say “Training room? What do I need that for?” It’s seemed such a waste of space to most.
And the rest is history.
Today we have many training rooms including our “Invictus Theater” which holds 220 people!
Do you have a training room to train groups of your employees on a regular basis?
Contractors in Ottawa think our training center is ridiculous. Who cares what they think. Our employees love it!
We do have a training room even at our smaller office in MD. We’re working on using it more and more. Train Hard, Fight Easy! If we train folks right, the work will end up being much more easy when they hit the field!
TRUTH!
Absolutely we have two and train everyday! Accelerated growth…yeah baby!!
Our training room in our old location was a cleaned-out warehouse with metal chairs and no tables. In our new location, our training room feels like the Invictus Theater to us!
Larry, Your daily information is very helpful but I am working with kids, high school kids that need a basic good book on managing people. Being in the drive in burger business younger kids 16, 17 and 18 years of age end up being a shift manager or maybe an evening manager. They need basic tips. Are you aware of any books or simple concepts I can pass their direction. I want to empower them as it is a good opportunity to learn and use that information down the road with their life. Thanks, Michael Boge
