Why I make typos on Think Daily

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

I am busy.  I am not a perfectionist.  I do not have people with lots of time writing my messages – it’s just me to you.

I have goals.  Lots of goals – all part of bigger goals.  I like to do lots of cool stuff.  I work hard and play hard.  Full out.  No wasted time.  I want to impact as many people as I can.

I have a big team (1885 people on the payroll!).  I can’t stop thinking about ways to train and help and empower them.  I see opportunity.

I have lots of help, and I delegate and prioritize.  I am not overworked, manic, crazed, or stressed.  I’m in my sweet spot.  My happy place.  Where I like to be – productive, doing what I like and was made for, and living full days.

I write Think Daily – two of them each weekday.  I am concerned with delivering an important idea.  One that with all this experience I know to be mostly true and important.  I do not have the luxury to belabor my posts, and I do not want it.  I want to share, then get up from my chair, and go make history every week.

Learning, doing something important, and making something to talk about is my priority.

That’s why.

And that’s OK! Keep being YOU, and we’ll keep reading what you share ?
It’s that spirit that I saw in Into the Dust that made me subscribe in the first place!

Great Job… I have been reading your posts for years. They hit on keys points that may slip from memory caused by the hustle of daily life. Thank you for your thoughts…

Completely get it and do it myself!
There is a time for perfection and a time for getting er done and moving on to the next most important thing

Please keep up the great work. Your posts are focused, insightful and brief. I read most everyday and sometimes share with my wife and kids when the message inspires me to so.

If we all had just one dollar for every mistake we’ve ever made! Your messages are always on point, at the right time for me and I sincerely look forward to them every single day! I really appreciate that you take the time to share those messages with all of us! I bet I speak for most everyone when I say, we don’t care about the typos! We care about the message. Perfection was crucified a very long time ago. So, there is that!

Michael Boge

Very insightful post! I appreciate the being candid like you are! Refreshing!

Dan

I appreciate your effort to post each day. I have shared your posts since March 2020 when we were sent to work remotely and the team has commented that it helps add some normalcy to life.

Thanks Larry. It’s not an English essay that’s meant to be graded. I am thankful for your posts because they contain thought provoking ideas.

I completely understand the presence of typos and appreciate seeing them! What they tell me is that even though you had a short window of opportunity in which to write these columns you still took the time and that means a lot! Thank you again for these invaluable daily messages!

I have been inspired by you when I saw you on the red bull channel for the Dakar race a couple of years ago. I am now 57 and still enter hare scrambles on my CRF450 L and enjoy every weekend on the trails trying to improve my skills and endurance and of course happiness, just a shout out and thanks

You got A LOTTA LOVE on this one, Larry ?
Guess we’re all just normal people and we’re glad you are too!
Makes you more relatable ?
You should post about that sometime ?

Gray Wilson

You do you… I never notice the typos because I am hip deep in the context.
Thank you for all you do for us.

Marsha Reynolds

I agree with Gray Wilson!

Zachary Mouton

I get your 100% full blast forward. I read your thoughts most days and have never responded. Face book, “WHO HAS TIME”. Just to let you know I really enjoy and take to heart your shared wisdom and I do share it with my team when I think would help them.
Thanks Again, Zach

Amen Brother. I like them just the way they are. They are from the heart and that is what matters.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help us be a better person and leader.

I just wanted to say that I’ve been revisiting this post almost daily. It’s one of my favorites that you’ve made.
