An inspiring story….

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

So I am done telling our four-wheel Baja 1000 story this year, and many of you are asking, “What happened to Tanner?”  (I have been teasing you!) If you recall Tanner is my son who was racing the Baja 1000 solo on a motorcycle for the fourth time.

If you win this race, you are the best long-distance desert motorcycle racer in the world.  This race is the big one.

Tanner wrote his own story, and I wanted to share a link to it today.  It’s dramatic.  It’s inspiring.  It’s worth reading.  Here’s the link.

I enjoy the race story every year. Even though I watch you on the live feed, there’s no way to know what’s going on. Tanner’s story is incredible. He was just a kid when I started working for you. What an amazing man he’s grown into.

Aunt Donna

Oh my- what determination and grit! An amazing account of Tanner’s race. So proud of him.

Wow… speechless and in tears…
AMAZING…!
Tanner, you realized a TREMENDOUS return on personal investment in a very deliberate goal, and in knowing oneself, in this victory – and, more than winning, proved yourself a WINNER.

One of the most well-written and humbling accounts of winning the inner war I’ve ever read. Thank You for sharing this so vividly!

This is an INCREDIBLE victory, and one that everyone involved should also be thankful to Tanner for today – for letting them be part of history and sharing such a profound triumph of the soul! There can’t be a victory like this without someone trying to accomplish what they shouldn’t be able to…

WELL DONE, Tanner!! You are likely changed forever by this quest and accomplishment – be PROUD of it, and recall it often in lesser struggles to come. It will serve you WELL!

Dan Kniseley

On a another note, the concious, intentional sacrifice you made to support and protect a fellow contestant and friend in your struggle, although rewarded by the sanctioning body in your final score, will be continually rewarded as you go through life – because it’s a testimony of who you are as a person even with so much personally at stake.

And you won even without the allowance of the return of the time – TREMENDOUS ACCOMPLISHMENT!

What a inspiring story Tanner wrote. A remarkable man he is. Takes a special person to accomplish what he did, while giving much needed assistance to a fellow competitor. Congratulations to him and to you Larry for having raised such a man.

Congratulations Tanner, you and your Dad Larry are the elite of sport and business combined.

Congratulations Tanner and Larry. You are both great examples of “life well lived”. Next year…invite me!
