Sometimes I feel like doing “deep work”. I get into a project and stay there – and I create or analyze. If I feel it, I do it. Sometimes I feel like talking to people (I can’t do deep work anymore) Then I make phone calls and follow up and talk and ask questions.
One of the great joys and responsibilities of being the boss is that you are free to do what you want with your time. Some business owners let the lazy side of them prevail and the results of that will show over time.
Using your time and physical and mental energy in the space of that time, at the right times, to your best advantage will yield the best you have to offer.
