The more talented, intelligent, ambitious and creative you are the more chance your life will get out of control – because you keep saying yes.
Yes dilutes, and possibly kills, the past yeses.
Time is fixed.
If you have more ambition than time (or key people) and you can’t say no, you won’t realize your full potential.
So I have a general question as to when do you know when to stop? I currently run a roofing and gutter business. Both divisions runs themselves pretty well for me to focus on my real estate side that I enjoy doing. Its only over looking after my own properties, buying and selling etc. Recently we purchased a roll off truck for debris hauling mainly to coincide with are roofing teams. I want to really develop the roll off company into its own running division but like you say am I just diluting myself and not focusing on the bigger picture? Am I to ambitious in the sense of taking on new paths to take? I often think of the positives and negatives before I do anything and don’t just randomly jump and say yes to everything. However, it is fair to say that Like most people I have a lot going on? I’m not offended by advise or comments as this is a question to try and help me grow to my full potential! Thank you
