Courage

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

Leadership takes courage; courage to run to problems and have difficult conversations.

Recently I had a tough week.  I had to have a bunch of difficult conversations in the same week.  I got grounded first – I’m proud of my actions and what I have done and who I am being.  I have good intentions.  I just have to say it…

It helps a lot when you are maintaining your integrity and treating everyone well.  When you have to have a tough conversation you aren’t apologizing or speaking from a position of weakness (although sometimes you do have to apologize).

If you hide out from the tough stuff because you don’t have the courage to face it, it will only fester into something bigger.

Be courageous.

Not wreckless courageous, but measured, smart, and well-intentioned courage.

Good timing on this one too. Thanks!

Well written and timely. Having challenges the last week or so as well, having conversations too, taking them on head on with courage and integrity. Thank you for Think Daily!

I have been practicing going towards my fears for about two years now and it has changed my life drastically to the better. Although it started very slow once I accomplished the thing I was fearful of my entire life I received a sense of profound courage and self worth that I can accomplish anything. Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for that message. I am currently working on a tough conversation with a long time client, 8 years. And this has already given me the courage to finish the letter tactfully……….I defiantly have to bite my tongue, but get my new terms across professionally. Thanks for the inspiration!
