The higher you climb up the ladder the worse your self-assessment is. The problem is fewer people want to give you accurate feedback. Maybe nobody.
Let’s face it, nobody will tell you – “Boss, your not doing a very good job”.
Invite assessments and criticism, and listen. Ask “What would you do?” and “I need your help…”
Your people can see what you don’t. Let them help you get better.
