Words are all we’ve got. It’s the language our brains our brains think in – and it’s the same for everyone else.
Words carry meaning, and meanings create feelings.
We can manufacture words in an instant – for free.
We can say words that make others feel good. People that feel good around us, because of us, are more pleasant and respond in kind. They are more likely to want to be with us, work with us, and help us.
Some people need hope and encouragement. Providing that to them is free and easy if we have a mind for it.
Some people need the insight and knowledge that we have. All people like praise and acknowledgment.
If we deliver positive words, they come back to us. If we speak positive words to ourselves and others, even in advance of actual positive things happening, they can make those good things come about.
Words are what we’ve got to make our world and our lives better.
Make and deliver as many positive ones as you can.
Absolutely love this thought. Thank you!
I absolutely try to put my best foot forward and treat my fellow people with unconditional love and support, but it absolutely breaks me when I run into people on the opposite side of the spectrum. There are people who will use their words to cut you down with absolutely no reason and no remorse and I truly feel for them. At least I can put some warmth back into this cold world from time to time.
Thank you for your positive words, Larry, we all appreciate you!
So true – I try to stay positive and put positivity out into this crazy and as Patrick said, cold world.
I think this is my favorite one of all you’ve done !
My boss will pass up the opportunity to praise his employees 99% of the time. We are still in business because we have a good team of resilient employees who do good work and provide good customer service. But a little praise goes a long ways, and its FREE.
