More Ignorance

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

“Ignorance more frequently begets (brings forth) confidence than does knowledge”. – Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin is telling us that ignorant people can be very confident, and he should know.  Just because someone is confident and even sincere, and even sincere, confident and good-hearted, doesn’t mean they are right.

Have you ever been confidently going around saying something only to find out you were wrong?

“Nothing is more terrible than ignorance in action” – Geothe

Here we learn that when misinformed people take action, they can do a lot of damage.  We are simply acting on bad, little or no information which can only make things worse.

Have you ever acted, even for a great cause, and later changed your opinion when you got more information?

Its unfortunate that Darwin was so stubbornly ignorant….
I was totally against the vax 2 yrs ago (or however long ago) when it started. I said things like, the govt is trying to reduce the population, I’m not taking that thing, I don’t need that, no way!… Then I took the time to research the FACTS and realized it actually works and will help society overcome the pandemic we found ourselves in. I decided to stop thinking about myself and thought about what Jesus allowed to happen to His body to save the human race. I am fully vaccinated and boosted now.

Yes. Live and learn!

Man, I hate it when I spew incorrect info. It happens from time to time. I learned why it does, everyone looks to the leader to be the best at everything, and they expect us to have an answer for every question every time right away. Instead of saying, “let me get back with you after I look into this” we tend to want to give an answer right then and there to save face. It took me awhile, but mostly I don’t answer on the fly these days!
