If we are jealous or envious of others, we will never give them a chance. Our ego hates it. They are making it look bad. We will look for how they are wrong, undeserving, and work to make them look bad and fail.

If we are the jealous or envious ones we have to do some deep emotional work, because it is us that has the disease. Dis-ease.
If we have someone who is jealous and envious of us, we should stay away from these people as much as possible.
We are so grateful for Amanda, as well! She is professional, organized, hardworking, and kind. I hope to be just like her when I grow up! Amanda makes us all look good. I truly took it to heart when Larry said to hire people that are better than you!
if we could only self assess our jealousy and ask ourselves, “Why am I jealous?” and then go deeper and to the “What did this person do to get the thing (position, opportunity, material possession) that i am jealous of and then emulate that person to achieve what they have achieved.

Staying away from jealous and envious people is the easy way out and is often necessary. However, these people could be jealous or envious because they have an inferiority complex or a poor self-image. They might not believe that they can do or be what other people are. In these instances we can help them by encouraging them, complementing their strengths, utilizing their talents and rewarding them for a job well done. Not always the case, but sometimes.
I don’t understand the jealousy thing at all! For some it’s a motivator, for others its a negative driver that nets mistakes. Either way, I’m excited when I see someone doing well. Success is earned, not given..
Well said, Desiree. Glad to have Amanda on the team.
