Give thanks for those that made this world possible

Larry Janesky: Think Daily

“Live honestly and honorably within the limits and to the limits of your own ability – and give thanks to the men and women whose greater ability has made such a magnificent world possible for you.” – Ayn Rand

I am talented, and so are you.  But together you and I could not have created this easy, fascinating, safe, and wonderful world by ourselves.  Just the computer you are reading this on…I mean, holy smokes!

Let us strive to make our life count by using what we have been given to make the world even better, and give thanks for those who have come before us, with less than we have and in very different circumstances, who made our current life possible.

Mike Mitchell

Great message and important for us all. I like the Ayn Rand quote. I’m reading “Atlas Shrugged” now. It is a great read. Who is John Galt?

Well said Larry!!
I’m constantly in wonder and marvel at the drive, innovation and steadfastness of those humans who make things better for the rest of us!

Larry
I have been receiving your think daily’s since you started and have been inspired and energized by many of your comments. I have never commented, but came across something I wanted to share.
This past week I was sadly at a double funeral for my brother in law’s parents who passed away only 3 days apart. His dad was an Army vet and his younger brother, who gave the eulogy was a Navy vet. He was sharing wonderful memories of his brother and spoke about a saying they had in the Navy, “How did you live your dash?” He pulled out the Mass card and was referring to the dash on the card between your birth date and death date and how you spent all of that time in between. He went on to talk about Honor, Valor, and love of country. Fitting for a fallen veteran, but also fitting for everyone. It was so simple but really struck me.
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you for all the inspiration
